LEEP kick started its winter term with an exciting and exhilarating trip to Jaguar Land Rover’s 4×4 Experience.

As part of their The Prince’s Trust Level 3 Diploma, LEEP students are studying Digital Skills, Teamwork and Leadership Skills this month so this trip helped to bring all three modules to life.

Throughout the day students learnt about the cutting edge technology incorporated into each vehicle and also the level of digital skills required by engineers to ensure that the Jaguar Land Rover vehicles are head and shoulders above the rest.

In each vehicle, students were placed in groups of three and they had to work together to communicate to the driver when to turn, slow down and speed up. Their communication skills were put to the test as they navigated their way around the different obstacles and environments including steep inclines, descents, water crossings and side slopes. LEEP students adapted with ease and it was a great opportunity to see leaders emerging within the group.

It was an extremely successful trip that our students thoroughly enjoyed and gained valuable knowledge and skills from.
